<div align="center">Today spent some time on a few projects. I put together a banner hanger for my Stargate Command flag. It'll be going up on the wall shortly.

Just started on this today, a replica of the Ancient Personal Shield from Atlantis. I started with some scrap foam blocks glued together and then shaped the main body by rotary sander.

I've bondo'd the body and did some beauty sanding and then followed up with a bit of primer.

Next weekend I'll start adding the 'metal frame.' Once done, it'll be cast in clear green resin. I'm planning on working on some lighting for it, but am not sure about the design. I'll have to check with a friend on some designs to see if it can be done.

Sorry, hadn't seen the bump! The Ancient Personal Shield is about ready, it needs just a little cleanup before casting in clear resin.

The flag was purchased from an online flag maker, a person from the SGC website had one made and I got their information and had one printed. It cost between $200-300 as I recall, so if you're still interested I can try to forward the information along.

'Nother bump... ;)

Well.. some additional progress.. I'm trying to finish up old projects and get them completely done.

Here's the master for the clear casting.

And here's the first casting with the tinting. I'm having some issues getting just the right color without it being too dark when unlit, but that's just going to take a little practice I think.

Looking good! It's great to see that this is still progressing even though it's not been seen again. Great little prop.

Did some painting on two castings to work out he rest of the details. The first below was using a method of masking areas with tape. It turned out ultimately to be too much trouble I think and the second I did painting by hand.

Two painted up with some weathering along the frame to give it that old metal look.

Next step I think is going to be to have a friend hit it with automotive clear coat, the good stuff, not just the spray can stuff.
