So I am trying to put together a screen accurate Stargate SG-1 costume.
I've got a jacket from Alchemy Arms (the guys offering them at Sci-Fi Hero), about to order all the other stuff.
The only snag is the damned vest! As anyone who has looked into SG-1 cosplay can attest to, getting hold of the original Blackhawk tac vest they wore is a superhuman feat. There are lots of guides to making your own but they can be quite expensive.
I saw a cheap airsoft replica of the original medical / tac vest and immediately snapped it up. Only the photos weren't too great and somewhat misleading... In order to rectify the problem, I have bought a Viper vest, which has the appropriate back, sides, shoulders etc but not the pouches.
I can take the pouches from the airsoft vest and make a fairly good replica. Only one snag: the bottom two pouches aren't long enough! So I need to find some black utility / ammo pouches which have the appropriate dimensions (3.25"H x 9.75"W x 2.5"D).
Any suggestions?
