Ok guys..I only watched series one and two so im looking for some ID help here. Thanks to someone on Alecs forum I found that the detonator was used by the main cast in Season 10 of SG1.

But what was the detonator used in...it could be Atlantis too.

Looks like it opens up too! Should have it later today to check inside

Hi,
Great prop. Stargate is a favourite of mine.

Could you please clarify what your question is.

Have you bought this? Is it screen used?

Yeah...but Ive already had a couple of offers to sell so Im probably going to do that. I opened it up yesterday and got it all working.

Take a look tech heads...perhaps you can tell me what kind of circuitry this is...its fantastically made...everything put together so well. Most of the electronics I see look crude in comparison and quickly thrown in.

Question is what episode is it from?

I've got a feeling that this is just misidentified on the COA.
I've done a bit of a search, and while I can confirm it's use in SG1, I can't find it in Atlantis.

Can't say it looks familiar to me in Atlantis either Mark. That it be misidentified would not be the first time ... while on the other hand, franchises do swap props here and there. If it is also in Atlantis, it perhaps may not have been seen clearly on screen.

Thats a shame. Bottom line is its beautifully made. i have a feeling this is going to be one of those ones that we smack our heads on down the road and say...oh thats it!!!

The XBee chip is a wireless transmitter/receiver. Does the numeric display have one too?
Until someone finds it on screen, my theory will be that it's an off-screen remote control for something. However, if that's true, I would have expected it to be labelled better.

I didn't bid on it, because I didn't recognize the detonator prop from any of the 3 Stargate series. But now I'm a bit confused here. The countdown timer was used in SG1, that we know. Has someone identified the detonator (control pad device) onscreen in SG1 or Atlantis? If so, what episode?

No Rick....its just conjecture at this point.

My feeling because of the military green was its Stargate SG1 but Im nowhere near enough of a fan to even know at this point. The only reason it didn't work before is the battery had been pulled out and to the side.

To think that production made this to use to set of explosions on set is silly. Its too nicely made and even as a joke why put the decals etc on the front.

Its definately from an episode and really nicely finished. Far better than most 150,000,000 feature film props Ive seen in fact.
