Since were on this subject does anyone know if this is a model kit for sale or custom made?

It's a gorgeous gate created by Rex Reeb.

Rex Reeb, who has made a stunning, moving Stargate model, which will have a limited run of replicas available.
The one he brought to the con was signed by all the Stargate actors and sold at the auction for a few thousand.

Hi all, I just joined the forum and thought i should intro myself. I am Rex Reeb I havent done anything with the SGC model since I had issues regarding my MGM license among other things in Hollywood land. Truth be told I was thouroughly disgusted by some things and people in the industry that I cannot discuss in public forums. I do love precision models and scifi ones in particular. I know this thread is old and i dont know if anyone will see this post or not but hey better late than never. I plan on doing some lurking around and maybe make some replicas!!!

Thanks for the compliments guys! Hey here is a youtube video of it working in its early prototype form if you wanna check it out. BTW the base is all CNC machined aluminum and the gate parts were resin/metal powder castings that were finish CNC'd for a perfect fit. This was my first attempt at a precision model and it wont be my last.....life gets in the way you know ;(. It was also shown at ComicCon's MGM booth in 2008.

I cant seem to figure out how to upload pics' sorry. You can go to utube and search dragoncon multiverse 2009 Look for pt1 youll see myself and my wife on stage at the sg panel right after we introduced the gate for the auction that happened later that evening. It was a ton of fun! All the cast members were really cool. We were fortunate enough to have dinner with colin cunningham and mike hogan from bsg. Man what great memories! I hope to do some more high end stuff to donate in the future...hell its worth it to hang out with the cast members lol. Can anybody tell me why when i try to upload pics it asks for a url? How do i load from hard drive? I have some cool pics yall will dig.
