Stargate Atlantis city model

While balancing the checkbook and waiting for my toasted walnut chocolate cookies to finish cooling, I've been watching some episodes of Stargate Atlantis and wondered, has anyone ever made a scale model of the city itself?

Looking at it makes me think it would make an amazing model of any scale (even 1:1 :D ), but I've done some searches and not really found anything.

Anyone know of anyones attempts or actual completions?

I might consider doing one myself down the line, but then, I've never made a scale model myself, so it might be too much of a project to tackle for a first go! :D

The largest I saw was one 8-10" across, way too small IMO.

To do this justice, it would need to be at least 6 feet across.

Very nice! But you're right, that scale doesn't quite help with the feel of the city.

Maybe something around 18-20 inches?

I have a couple of the small models. I haven't painted any yet but they are good for small dioramas. A larger one would be great, especially if there were a mini Daedalus or Ancient Cruiser in the same scale for display on piers.

I would actually prefer something 4 foot to 6 foot in diameter. It is the kind of model that deserves that kind of detail.

I'll think about mastering a 24" version later this year, but I would need a good 6 months to a year to work on it.

I would cast it hollow in Alumilite white, so it could be lit.

price point would be around $200 each, depending on how many are interested.

any one interested?
