Limited Run Stargate™ Anubis Helmet

I've been after one of these for awhile now. Was able to Ordered mine before they ran out. Great payment plan guys.

Robl - We have been looking into other pieces from Stargate like the staff weapon or Ra's pyramid ship. We really like to mold our pieces directly from the original screen-used props and costumes to ensure quality, detail and authenticity, so sometimes it takes a while to track the items down. We unfortunately don't have the license for the series, only the 1994 movie, so we have to stay limited to that...for now.

A huge suggestion: the Eye of Ra pendant (!) :D

Thank you guys!! We try to create the best products we can, while still making them affordable. We do offer these payment plans with every product we release.

The Eye of Ra would be fun, but it's already been done... We try hard not to step on toes or oversaturate the market when there are so many awesome things available that have never been touched.
These are pretty though:

I have both :p
The first one was made by a RPF member, fairly accurate and the other is a licensed SG1 replica, anything but accurate to the fantastic piece made for the film. I wouldn't call that oversaturated.

Hey there Chronicle,

I've always wanted one of these but just a couple of questions.

1 - Are the colored tassels on the sides going to be a fabric or solid fixed?
2 - The neck seams WAY too long between the head and main body, in the movie when Anubis hands Daniel the Staff to execute the others his head is much closer to the main body with barely any neck showing.

It would be great if the masks head could tilt or allow it to be put it in a slightly different position.

Apart from that, really looking forward to this.

Dan

Barking Dragon,

The side tassels are solid fixed. We felt like resin-made tassels would withstand the test of time better than fabric.

Thank you so much for your feedback!

I suppose aswell you have to factor in production costs...much cheaper and easier to fabricate resin tassels than to go with something like coloured silicone which would be a fantastic option but just not cost effective.

REALLY hope you address the length of the neck and possible articulation of the head, apart from that I can't wait for this to be released.

Regards dan

I can testify to the amount of work it takes to create one of these, let alone an entire production run. Chronicle has offered these at an amazing price point, and the detail is perfect.

Chronicle may choose to chime in or not, but believe me when I say....these are as good as you're ever going to get without paying $20,000.

if you want the head to articulate, I can offer you a solution after you purchase yours.

Incredible!

I would be the first in line if the exchange rate for Canada wasn't ridiculous right now. It is going to cost me over $2000 for it. I love it though...

Hi there brandomack,

Yes, I can only imagine the amount of work involved in a run like this.... when you compare the price of some other movie prop runs out there this is a steal. I've just got off the phone with my local supplier and have pre-ordered it :D

I'm definitely interested in your solution for head articulation, thank you ;)

Was the main body of the mask the same for Hourus as it was for Anubis in the film?

Regards dan

The neck of this piece most likely looks long because it was molded from the screen-used helmet that did have articulation. We chose not the include the head articulation due to the cost it would take make it move in a controlled way. I hope this does not deter your interest.

In the film, Anubis is slightly more ornate than Horus. Anubis' helmet has a few more layers in the bodice and Horus' "ears" are a bit larger. The Horus helmet will look vaguely similar but it is definitely different.

This thread's gone rather quiet. Chronicle Collectibles has completed the Anubis statues and photos of the production completed statue was posted on another website by Chronicle Collectibles management.....

Hmm, how this looks in the picture it seems to be really looking like cheap plastic / rubber instead of metal texture. Not sure cause of the color being more of a lighter blue or its the camera shot itself.

Oh btw Horus has sold out..never saw it for sale until today as sold out. i know it wasn't posted last week on the site or news letters of finally being completed. Has alwasy been we're gonna do Horus and stay tuned. They are only making 50 of them to boot. Since I bought a Anubis and it ships this month. I must say I'm kinda bummed about the Horus mess and that picture.

Anubis looks pretty cool though... other photos he's probably more metal looking. If you want Horus, you can write to Chronicle to be placed on their "wait list", in case there are people who default or pull out of buying the Horus.:ninja
