Star Wars: Where science meets imagination

Hey Gang,

I'm going back to the exhibit in Philly (can't believe it's been almost 2 years to the day since I was there last).

Anyway, I figured I'd see if anyone has any specific pictures they want or need. I have over 200 pictures from the last time I went, so I'm looking for requests of detail shots. I won't have the time to photo-archive every prop there this time, so if you need a particular angle or something let me know and I'll see what I can do.

If you don't already have the pic, could you take one of the cockpit, closeup, for either the Falcon or the Tantive. I heard that they (one or both) have the mini posters inside that the makers put in as a joke.
Thanks

There are two posters inside the blockade runner.

Thanks, I totally forgot to look when the exhibit was in Chicago.

Didn't the Falcon have something inside the cockpit as well?

I would really like to see a shot of the interior of the ROTJ Stormtrooper helmet if possible, I realise it is not an easy shot to get.

Here is what someone shared previously:

Can anyone send/give me some info about this exhibit(ticket, location info).I would love to go seeit. Thanks,Dave

If that's from WSMI, they've changed the exhibit!

The trooper helmet is on the dummy, and there's no scout helmet.

If it's no trouble, high resolution images of the inside of the ROTS Vader reveal dome, front view of the transition line between the flaring and the crown. Thanks! :thumbsup

I already have several high-res images of the ROTS helmet, faceplate, chin/mouth section and the inside of the dome. I'll try to post pictures tonight.

As far as the transition between the flaring and the crown, I'm not 100% sure what area you're talking about. Could you post a picture pointing out the area you're interested in?

I know I have some pics of the falcon interior, but they aren't that great. I'll try and get some new ones, but I'll post what I have anyway.

Dave, go to google and look up the franklin institute in philly. The star wars exhibit is a big thing right on the front page. Tickets are $20 ($10 after 5PM) and the exhibit runs through sunday (may 4th).

Thanks, the flaring is the wide angled part...the crown is the top of the head section of the dome...if you look on the inside of the dome, there's some writing there at the boundary between those...I'd just like a closeup of that and if you could email it to me that would be great.

Here's a photo I got of one of those posters inside the blockade runner cockpit...:love

Is this the area inside the dome you're looking for?

Let me know if this is what you're looking for.

Oops, sorry, I meant the dome or helmet part (the top part that fits over the mask)...what you show is the inside of the mask or faceplate. If it's no trouble and you have any photos of the inside of the dome or helmet, that would be great. But those are nicely resolved images of the inside of the faceplate. :thumbsup

Somewhere on the top of the falcon near the rear is a Champion Sparkplugs logo. I could only see one of the two posters in the cockpit of the Tantive IV when I saw it in Philly. The SW one is gone. The girlie pic is a repro of an actual Playboy centerfold (from 1975 IIRC).

Well, I'm back.

It seems like the trip was doomed from the get-go. I got there only to find my ticket was dated from the week before. Thankfully, they let me in with no hassle. Then when I got in there, I couldn't find my 1GB CF card. Thankfully, I had my 32mb card, but it really cut down on the number and size of the pics I could take.

Anyway, I shot some pics up into the dome and there was nothing in there but some foam. Certainly no wires. Since card space was a premium, I deleted the pictures. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
