Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Pre-release)

Are they going to show this at the beginning of Star Wars Celebration or at the end?

I'm assuming at the beginning, considering that JJ and Kathleen Kennedy will be there right at the beginning of the celebration on the first day.

Since this is from the same source as the first teaser, I'm hoping it's legit. Anyone else wondering what the lightsabers will look like? Will each one look and sound different? Will there be variations on the flickering/pulsating effect?

Honestly, I don't see how BB8 would fit in an astromech socket in an X wing, so I am going to call bull**** on that whole thing.

I'm not. Still haven't seen the other trailer :D

Fair enough. I don't know how you do it though so kudos to you. My heart was pounding as I was loading it. I guess it's a bit of a grey area talking about where the trailer might lead. ;)

I'm all for the trailer, I just don't want the trailer spoiled and want to be surprised by what I see. This really is the first time the direction is unknown and there is no prequel. It's awesome to see it moving forward and beyond and I just want it to be a first experience thing. I will just have to skip this thread altogether until it debuts in theaters soon.

I tried to do it with Phantom Menace but I just couldn't do it. Must have watched the EP1 trailer at least some 150-200 times. Mind you we in Sweden had to wait.... for A LONG long time. The film premiered in the US on May 19th and it premiered in Sweden on August 22nd or close to it.
Didn't see any trailer for AOTC, except the Across the Stars music video. I also tried to stay the heck away from the EP3 trailers, but I failed miserably :lol

Man that wait for EPI would have killed. Especially with everyone talking about it. I can see the advantage of not viewing anything until you see the movie. It would make it a great surprise but I just don't have the control over temptation. I'm that little kid that picks and prods and rattles at his presents under the Christmas tree. Lol. :)

I get ya. You just don't want to spoil it.I don't trust all these sources to be accurate anyway. It will be great when we can all talk about the trailer in the coming weeks though. ;)

Yup, lets keep them separate. I too want to be informed and can't wait for the trailer, but I don't want to be spoiled. At least, not more than the trailer will spoil me.

How about this for non spoilery.

This morning fast and furious 7 put up the 4th best opening week in history, they are saying this is unprecedented for a 7th film in a franchise.

I say I know another franchise with a 7th film coming out in December, that just might beat it.

YEP!

it will be the biggest opening night, weekend, and week. Of all time.

Even if it's worse than the PT... I will see it twice the first weekend... Just to be sure!!!

Yup, me too. Friday night viewing with the wife, followed by Saturday viewing with my 6yo daughter. This is my promised plan to her.

2 reasons for the delay: 1) I'd like to preview it, to know when the tense parts are and be prepared for her. 2) I'd like to enjoy the movie the first time without a constant barrage of "why's" or spending 1/2 hour in the lobby.

I didn't tell her about #2.
