how are you making the impressions in the foam, little circles and that?

i cant believe how good this is looking for the money that it must be costing, six sheets of foam for £10
i bought three lots. I cant think of any thing better to make so i'm going to make a chopper too.

this pic shows chop is the same height as artoo (1.1m) including antena. but how did you get depth numbers? and what did you get?

Excellent craftsmanship, I cant wait to see it finished. Im trying really hard not to jump on the fullscale astromech bandwagon. That foam looks pretty economical. I've been working on a posterboard and foam core .5 scale R2 myself.
BTW there's a foam R2 build on the boards also.
