Star Wars: Rebels - Bandai A-Wing RZ-1T Build

Hello all! I'm a pretty amateur modeler but wanted to do something from Star Wars: Rebels. I decided on doing the training variant of the A-Wing, called an RZ-1T. I'll begin progress in the next month or so but would love to hear some advice and feedback along the way! Here's a picture of what I'll be working on.

Make a cardboard model first to figure out the structure of the ship. I am trying to say where to put the plates of plastic to make the ship.
