Is there any place to find out what this piece might be worth?

The easiest and (in my opinion, best) way to check any items current worth is to plug it in on eBay and search completed auctions for something in the same condition. Some nutjob currently wants 700 bucks buy it now, buuut...

This is for an AFA graded item. Went for $359. Considering yours' condition, and that it's not graded (-80 bucks for grading) 200-300 dollars?

Agreed. ebay seems to determine the price of Star Wars toys. If it's in working order a very rough guess is between US$100 and US$150

This is the only version which had a folding stock so it's rarer than subsequent releases

I bought one for $75 a coupla years back w/o the box...I believe somewhere about $100 - 150 w/ box...

Wow, I had the 3 postion one and the Han Solo Blaster when I was a kid. Wish I still had them :cry

That was one of my most wanted toys as a kid. I had to settle for the Han blaster. Thanks for the pic and the memories.

I still have mine. One side of the stock retaining clip broke when I was a kid so it doesn't stay folded very well. And I seem to have left the batteries in at some point so it doesn't work anymore. And I peeled the sticker off. But it's still pretty cool. :)

I was deeply envious of my friend's Han Solo blaster though. My mom didn't see any reason for me to have two. :lol

I had the Han DL-44 also. Remember the super-fantastic sound effects? They had a MOTOR inside 'em. I forget how the mechanism worked (not very well) though. I was disappointed that it didn't have a light in the barrel so I disassembled it one day and added one. Ahh, youth.

My best friend back then had one of these I had the Solo blaster. Many a SUmmer blasting through the detention blocks with them things.

The little button on the grip (remember that?) would activate the motor, which would spin a white plastic truncated cone that had ridges. The trigger would pull a thin white plastic strip against the cone, causing a lame-ass screeching sound. ZAP.

I cannibalized my Solo blaster a few years ago, and regret it. I finally got that thing in Christmas '78 after many months of hinting/begging/demanding. :lol

Heh, I rigged mine up to fire flash bulbs. :D

Hey would there be much interest in copies of the folding stock for the "budget troopers" out there to refit their later versions of the blaster with?
