Hey all. I posted a few months ago about my plans to do a Khan costume. After a few false starts I'm in full-on costuming mode now and was wondering if anyone could answer a couple of questions I have.
1. Khan's glove: Does anyone know what kind of glove Khan actually wears? I realize it's been modified and I have an idea already for how to customize mine but I need to settle on a good base to work off of. The closest thing I can find to compare it to is a motorcycle gauntlet. I was wondering if it might be a trade-specific glove or something else obscure that I'm not aware of. Of course it's probably custom-built in which case I'll make do. Any pics of the glove would be helpful, close-ups especially, I haven't beenable to find much.
2. Khan's bandolier/chest strap: pretty much just a case of I need some close up pictures to replicate. From the pics I have I think it's half of a belt/seatbelt coupled with wiring similar to that of his necklace.
3. Khan's belt: my first thought when I saw Khan's belt was to assume it was a "Sam Browne" style belt but I've never seen one that wide before. Anyone know if it's from some obscure army or outdated uniform I'm unaware of? I was thinking of using a trimmed down weight-lifting belt to get the proper width if I have to. As for his belt buckle does anyone know what the decorative piece on there is? I'm just not sure if it's only a design the wardrobe dept threw on there or if it's made of some outdated piece of technology I'm unfamiliar with. As above, any close up pics would be appreciated.
