It would be interesting to see if Blu Ray screengrabs provide enough resolution... since regular grabs are too fuzzy, and AFAIK nobody has turned up those particular "publicity photos" (tho for all I know they might have been shot just for the episode, since they look rather poorly lit and spontaneously posed).
Anyway where did Charlie get publicity photos of Yeoman Rand. Does she have a MySpace page? Are those just images of how Charlie "sees" Rand? If so why is she wearing clothes. :lol

I always assumed that they were shot specially for the episode. As you noted, they seem too fuzzy for publicity shots. I guess Charlie's imagination is a little fuzzy when it comes to women.
Bought a copy of her book not long ago. I haven't read it yet, but was impressed to learn that she played one of the musicians in the all-girl band in Some Like It Hot. :thumbsup

OK back to paper props... well let's see, there's that Klingon proclamation from "Errand of Mercy"...
That symbol at the top BTW seems to be the "actual" emblem of the Klingon empire... the tribladed thing wasn't come up with until much later. The ribbon thing tho shows up as a wall decoration in EOM, and also resembles the insignia on the Klingon sashes.

Actually a few lines later, Spock is referred to as a "Vulcanian", for one of the few times in the series! The planet was originally called "Vulcanis", and James Blish used those terms in early novelizations.
