I want to go to there.

Really though, that is awesome. Out of my price range, but I want one.

I almost hate to ask this question since these look really cool but I wonder if they are officially licensed?

Very nice but I'm not giving up my ipod touch for it.
I wonder if it works with a mac and itunes?

Wow I may pick one up just for how cool it is! This coming from a trek nerd :angel

It does indeed look like a super pimped out Playmates. It's a bit more advanced than GMProp's kit :p Hey Gerry maybe you should compete with him and a do-it-yourself kit:lol

Edit: I wonder if anyone is daring enough to transplant the electronics in this into a Rod.com kit??? Ooooh so tempting..

Very cool work, it is indeed a playmates body, I wish he would just sell te screen kits, through one in a mark x body, that would be bad ass!

We should invite these guys over here to our party at the rpf and then badger then for the screen kits alone! If you go to youtube this guy has many videos of the build progress of these things. It looks like he's got all the function buttons for the media player in the door panel with micro buttons to control it, yet he says there are no visible wires... not sure how this is accomplished.
I just wanna know what mp3 player he's using. I've got one that I've been wanting to transplant for some time just haven't gotten around to it.
Pretty sweet setup. I just wish the website was photos of the actual item and not just computer generated models.

If anybody gets one of these you have to post a review!

I couldn't find any mention of these on the Trek Prop Zone either...
Surprising they aren't even there unless I missed them in the search.

But yeah, I'd like to see the finished product so I know the side isnt just cut out for the miniusb and audio, but a jack is put in and the body is repaired to look professional and not cut.

I sent the guy a youtube message for more information :)

You can see the "innards" of the PMP in the "stage 3" video on YouTube. After a little searching, the source for the PMP looks a lot like this little PMP. I don't believe it is the exact model as it is white and the max for the mini SD is 1GB (the YouTube videos state the tricorders come with a 6GB mini SD card). The user interface appears to be the same though. :)

Very close, but the guy does say theres an 8gb SD card installed and the PMP linked only supports microSD. I guess he could have added an sd reader manually, or perhaps MicroSD is larger now.
