This is not fan produced, I can't stress that enough, this was casted from the original molds used to create them for the screen.
I beleive ICON's was producing some before they went out of business.
These were produced during the 1990's, except for a few all were without light/sound FX.( i.e,Marco Ent.)
This Disruptor has been redone, down to the paint.
We took an existing stock Disruptor, hollowed it out, added a high bright "Red" led and installed a sound chip.
The sound was taken from a Star trek sight that had sound bites from the series, and burn't it onto the board.
On the handle is the trigger, the trigger is the actual one casted from the prop and not just a cheap button.
The three tubes going into the 'Beaknose" tip are all aluminum, not plastic, the original ones were plastic tubes, we went for aluminum, polished them and clear-coated the whole body.
The unit is powered by a single 12 volt battery which is housed in the center of the prop with the board and speaker...access is two screws, one on each side.
This is a very detailed prop and you can tell its unique, the "used condition" was done looking at close-up's and at different props, not overly done though.
This is not a toy, if you want a 24.95 toy their out there, with screw holes and cheap paints and looking like a toy, anyone seeing it will know its a toy.
I have had customers that spent hundreds if not a $1000.00 on a Klingon uniform and have no quaility sidearm or prop to go with it and stand out, this will seperate you from the "casual" Klingon wannabe.
PLEASE NOTE...This prop is slightly distressed like most Klingon props were made to be, this is a nice prop and for its age its in excellent condition.
This Disruptor is from the 1990's, it has been well taken care of and is casted from the original Klingon Phaser/Disruptor, each one has something different about them, and if you a fan you know what I'm talking about, mostly distressing, made to look used and beat.
These were very popular and expensive and were often sold at conventions, the Klingon Hand disruptor and Disruptor II were not to popular so very few were ever produced.
Originally this Disruptor had no function, the FX was added later...LIGHT AND SOUND.
Please check back, I am putting up for sale more items.
If your a serious Star Trek collector then you already know how rare this prop is.
I have been a prop collector and store owner for over 20 years and all this stuff needs to go, I am going to be more than reasonable with my prices so don't be fooled by that, this is NOT JUNK....I need to make room for other things.
Overall the DISRUPTOR is in excellent condition for its age, we took care to bring it back and add to it, so you'll be getting a better unit than you would have if purchased in the 1990's
I have been collecting props since the late 1980's and have numerous items available that I will be list up on ebay in the next coming weeks/months so check back often."
