Star Trek's William Shatner Reveals He's Been Approached To Reprise Captain Kirk, And I Have A Theory About How The Character Could Return
I feel good about this theory.

Looks like Shatner has been approached about reprising the Kirk role…
Meh, if they throw enough money at him he will be back all right, back at the BANK!
Oh he is in it for the money its in his blood AND his egoHe's 93yo and worth $100m. Money alone probably won't do it unless the number is big. It would help to please his ego and make it semi-interesting too.

Thats why he is still signing at Cons and taking photos for upwards of $200.00 a pop

He did a commercial for a local Dayton, OH law office that had us going WTH?I'm guessing he knows someone there.
I'm not sure how they could do it unless it's something from the TOS (like a recovered message), a holodeck thing, or alternate timeline. Of course modern ST (and SW) just does whatever the hell they want, canon be damned.
He does a lot more than just your local law firm. I'm pretty sure any law firm can hire him for it. It's like when celebrities used to be seen in promos for your local TV station, saying, "you're watching WXYZ in Pudville, Idaho" or whatever. The network has them sit down and record one of those for every affiliate. Shatner probably does the same thing - sits in front of a green screen in a suit for a couple hours, does a hundred ads that are all basically the same for different law firms all over the country (they probably record only one general ad with Shatner, which he "personalizes" a small part of it by saying the law firm's name, then the rest is specific to the local firm) and gets a fat check. He doesn't know anyone in those law firms. The ad agency he works with goes to all those law firms in every different tv market and negotiates the deal to have Shatner in their ads. They make sure they only do ads for one law firm in each tv market so it looks like he's only doing ads for just that one law firm, because that's all that's shown in your local TV market (which includes TV stations, Cable/Satellite, and streaming sevices). But if you travel to another city or state, you'll probably see Shatner doing an ad for some other random law firm.He did a commercial for a local Dayton, OH law office that had us going WTH?I'm guessing he knows someone there.

The way ST is going, and not very boldly I must say, I cringe to think he will appear on ST Academy as a THE Starfleet Tutor Hologram. Easy money and as cheesy as the recent cr@p we've been dished up. As Vader once said "Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo"
So they finally went through with this![]()
