Star Trek Captains chair plans anyone??

I am going to build a replica captain's chair from the original Star Trek for a production my Church is doing. It is for VBS so it does not need to be exact but I am a nut case on this stuff and I want to build an exact replica. I might as well do it right if I have to build one anyway, right? I have tons of photos but I wanted to see if anyone has any dimensional plans. I will post an "in progress" thread once I get under way. Thanks for your help!

If you have any questions I will help if I can!

If I'm so damn knowledgable about this stupid thing how come I can't find anymore of the proper rocker switches?

I think the plans are on or about page 146, but more importantly they were released on Dec 31, 08. Look at the dates in the posts.

THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS!!

I found all I needed. I was surprised for all of 2 seconds that there were guys who built this and had accurate plans. I have more than enough info.

Here is the deal behind this. We are doing a "Star Trek" theme for VBS (vacation bible school) at our church this summer. I had the plan to build an exact replica of the chair to use during that time and after the session, auction the chair off for our charities and youth ministries. I presented some estimates to the board and they loved the idea. That is why I get to tackle this fun project. I also might do some smaller props as well.

So as I said, this chair will be for sale sometime in late June/early July with ALL proceeds to go towards our charities/ministries. I believe we will get anywhere from 1-2k for it. I am a full time professional model maker so rest assured it will be very well built, durable and accurate. I will probable post a thread showing the build and final product. If anyone is interested in the chair, please PM me and I will keep you posted with the details of the auction.

Again, thanks a lot for all the help. One last thing, does anyone know the correct color? (Pantone # maybe?) I am searching the other forum but no luck yet.

Somewhere in the thread TOSPHASER mentioned they gave the information for the paint. The can I picked up from LOWES is Valspar semi-gloss base. The code on top is WV37006. I'm guessing this is the paint color code. One gallon was way more than I needed for three full coats of the chair and base.

Looking forward to progress pictures.
