Star Trek Alien Gun Base??

So I understand this guns base from various Star Trek episodes was a water gun? Does anybody know if so, what was the brand and model number?

Does anybody even have a casting of it by chance?

Looks too blocky to be from a water gun. I do know that it was originally made for "The Osiris Chronicles", aka "Warlord of the Galaxy". It was also used in "Sliders". The rifles and pistols were used in some cheap sf movie starring some stripper, I think it was called "Star Hunter". I couldn't watch the whole thing, it was really bad!

Can anyone tell my so many props these days are so blocky? If you look at "Star Trek" tos, the props were sleek, and had curves. But most of the Next Gen props were blocky, is it a molding issue?
