So what are those little doodads on the sides, under the half-moon things? Which is the switch to flip from stun to kill? (the toy makes it that round rivethead thing that'd be under your thumb when you held it)

And does this phaser have a trigger or did they just decide they didn't need one. :lol

Seems to be little "Up" arrowheads in that crescent notch on the top.

Does it open to allow access to a P1, or maybe just to get to the guts/power cell?

While I have no intention on getting on the "we hate the new Trek, even though it isn't out yet" bandwagon (and no, I'm not accusing anyone), this is a valid point... what if you (or your species) is color blind? :lol

Or, what if they see in a vastly different part of the spectrum? Well, what the heck, I guess you've got a 50/50 odds of being right! (Then again, Issac Asimov said "All odds are 50/50... either something WILL happen or it WILL NOT!)

That's a big let down for me, I really thought I was reading the shadows right. I was also trying to put a little Glock into it as well. Guess is a good thing I didn't get that mold made all ready.

Reddy/Deady -- Thanks for the laugh, Steve. As much as I adore the TOS prop design, I must say I find this new design one of the coolest, sexiest phasers since the original series. Of course the flip nozzle is absurd, but I bet ya it looks cool flipping arounf and firing in the movie.
