I toned the barrel burning down, but... may have overdone the weathering by a huge degree. Oh well!

I mostly just attacked the black coat to let the metallic undercoat show through, then wet-sanded the edges a bit. It works well enough - hard-wearing equipment, I guess.
I also bought this wig from Arda, since I am folically-challenged. It works, but it was a bit too long and a bit too out of control. Fortunately, one of my good friends is a hair stylist who doesn't mind helping me with my ridiculous bull****. We tamed the wig pretty well sans hair products, which I think will get it the rest of the way!

I'm trying to get at least the one blaster done in time for NYCC. Later today I should be painting the handle parts with the airbrush, once I get a few test pieces done to see what sort of paint and primer I can get to stick straight onto the nerf gun base.
First I wanna give major props to that wig job, that's gonna look sickkkk when the full costume comes together.
Also one last dumb question for someone about to submit these files to a 3D print shop... the site is asking for what units the files are uploaded in (mm, cm, in) does anyone know? Is there a default? I really don't wanna order it in mm when it was supposed to be inches and get a tiny, eensy weensy helmet for a cat to wear.
Sorry to be a bother this whole thing is awesome![]()
Tomorrow's gotta see me getting a lot of work done if I'm going to have any hope at all of even half-assing my Star Lord for NYCC.
