Star-Lord Helmet Lens

Hey guys, I would like to begin by saying that this is my first post, so apologies if I mess something up. Anyways, I'm currently working on a cardboard Star-Lord helmet, but I'm at a loss of what to use for the lens. I've heard of a person using a red transparent clipboard and the lens out of that, but unfortunately I'm unable to find such a clipboard at my local stores. Anybody have suggestions or ideas as to what I can use? This helmet is just for fun, so the lens can literally be red plastic packaging or something of the sort, nothing expensive. Thanks in advance! :)

Ok... Then you could use something as simple as a CD case lid, and a Red Felt tip permanent marker...

Unfortunately the markers I have smudge on plastic. However, I have found what I'm looking for, translucent page dividers. Easier to work with than cutting hard plastic and super cheap. Thanks for your help though :D

I recently built a Star Lord Helmet from cardboard as well, and used a small red clipboard I found at Walmart. Just traced out the shape and cut it with a dremel.

Here's the link:

And here's what it looks like:

Its a little on the pink side, so I just bought another clipboard (yellow this time), that I'm going to layer on the inside. When layered over each other, they look a lot closer to the illuminated red in the movie.

Local Tap plastic
.cut lense to size.
Then etch them with a boxknife to make the screen look..easy

See mine in my thread..Mike Ds

I used acrylic circles from eBay. Then used red tail light film and screen door screen.
