Star Destroyer with Death Star Base

Hi,
I'm pretty new here in the forum and would like to introduce my first model.
The raw model is the Bandai Star Destroyer 1/5000. The base is made of resin plates, which should represent the Death Star in its construction phase.
The model and the base were painted and provided with lighting. The entire lighting can be switched on and off using the remote control, and the brightness can be dimmed.

I posted the construction steps on my newly created Facebook page.

May I ask what base color you used for this ISD?

Looks really nice!
I would suggest for the next version of this, to use a smaller diameter rod. The rod you used a little distracting from the over-all display.
