At 1/35 scale it matches perfectly, I just cant find the right kit, do you have any idea guys ? Thanks ! (Tamiya makes one which close parts but I think it was released after TESB, maybe they did a previous version though...).

Hi, again!:love

How about this?

This is Tamiya's 1/35 Sturmgeschuetz III Ausf G.
This kit was released before ANH.

Hey Blackpig !

Awesome ! It looks like I need to buy a couple more kits (I must stop ! :lol)

There are not a lot of parts that havent been ID'ed now ! That's very cool ! I hope we'll find them

So those bits are the last one we're missing on the facia ?

Anyone knows more about those ones ?

Thanks ! We're close ! :love

Because I have power of the darkside!:love

BlackPig

Well I always knew it was a mistake to be on the light side ! :lol

BlackPig, do you have clear pic of the back of the bridge ? (I mean no flash because with flash it's hard to see if there is some plating and Im sure there IS some plating on the back !). Thanks !

I got my Roco Leopard today and that's the right kit for the tracks.

Wow! I have to get it. MonsieurTox! You are a great sw modeller!!:thumbsup

And I have no clear pic of the back of the bridge.I am very disappointed.
We should go to the SW exhibition!
But SD2 is restored here and there, we need attention.:confused

BlackPig

Thanks BlackPig, but actually credit goes to Chrome, he said it was Roco Gepard, he just misnamed the kit and I found after some search that it was the Leopard (very nice little kit btw) :

Unfortunatly the Avenger has never landed in France yet... That's really something I would like to see ! Yeah, I noticed some difference with the pics of it while touring and pics of ILM. For example, some styrene chips are missing now on the facia and some parts are broken like the Shinano deck on the underside. :cry

We cannot take a photo, it even if SD was exhibited at Japan.
I don't know why, but every exhibition has much photography prohibition in Japan. I am very disappointed. :thumbsdown

By the way, I made an image of the back of the bridge deck of SD.
I am happy if I serve you as a reference.:)

Hello BlackPig,

Thanks for the drawing it's really helpful and all the panel lines are very accurate, I will use it as template for the right side !

Do you think those lines are only penciled on the back ? I can see only 1 or 2 scribbed lines on the back !
Also, I think there are some styrene platings added to the back, do yoou think it's correct ?

Thanks again for your help ! :thumbsup

[edit] I noticed recently that there was a kind of styrene strip or kitpart between the Croc and M5A1 parts on the back. I have no idea about the parts which are close to the Shinano cannons... There are some Ling George V cannons which link the croc parts to the mobelwagen shield plates.

Hey BlackPig, from which kit is this part coming ?

I assume that's the USS Enterprise, Nimitz or another sisterships but I cant find the scale nor the correct manufacturer...

Would you be kind enough to take pics of the sprues of this kit ? Thanks a lot !

I think that it is a line by almost pencil about the line of the bridge deck back. :confused
However, I see a place put some styrene platings on and the scribbed line.
I think that the line extending to it and the right side between the part with Croc and M5A is a thing by the step.

How do you think to see this photo?

Thanks Blackpig, your pics is great (I guess it's from a japanese book ? Ive never seen this pic before !). We clearly see that the whole thing is smooth and I agree with you there is some styrene/parts next to the M5A1 parts. That's very confusing when you see other pics with other lightning it creates different shadows and I can see more raised parts :wacko

Another confusing thing :

What the hell is that ?!! On your pic, there is the same part of the hornet which is used on the portside and on the pics of the 8 footer in display, it has the single hangar door part of the hornet !!

I cant see any penciled lines on your pic, do you think it was a shot of the model before it was shot and that the painting was not completed (and they did a composite for the book) ? Very interesting !

Thanks !!

Yes! this pics is from SW-Chronicles Japanese ver.(ROtJ)

And I thought that you noticed the difference of the part of the Hornet.
When I watched this pics yesterday, I was surprised too!!!!!
In fact, this pics on the chronicles, and it is turned over, and just printed.
However, I reversed this with my PC because I understood that I turned over clearly when I watched the part of this bridge side. :confused

It is drawn the line the hull part. (You cannot see it in this pics.)
Therefore production of SD2 may not have ended whether a pencil line passed out of sight because of the lighting at this point in time.

Thanks:)

Thanks for the info Blackpig, I dont understand why this part is not the same and since the new one is smaller we should see the shape of the original part... and it doesnt look to have been repainted and I cant notice any touch up in this area.

Anyway that's too bad we have less pics in the US Chronicles ! :cry

I did something on my bridge, it's not glued yet, but I think it's how the original is, Ill post a pic tomorrow, thats about the plating ! I need your opinion on that !
