A while back in another Star Blazers thread I said I'd look for my blueprint of the gun from the show. I built a couple back in the 80's for a costume group.
Well, couldn't find the blueprint, but in my recent trip to San Diego on a job search I accidentally ran across the pistol a friend made at the same time I did mine.
So I re-drew the print from his gun. Sorry for the lack of dims, but there really isn't anything to replicate. Just size it to fit your hand.
Now remember this was an animated show and darn near everytime you saw it, it was a little different.
This version was based off a sketch that appeared in an imported Japanese magazine about the show.
It was referred to as the Astro Automatic in America, or Cosmo Nambu in Japan.
