Standalone Rocketeer Display Piece

Hi all. If you haven't been following my all aluminum Rocketeer jetpack....er, um...I mean rocketpack...I make them out of legit aluminum. I decided to do a fun little side project making a display version of the cowl section, with visible rockety parts in the rear. I didn't make the fan/heatsink, but I made everything else by hand. Sheet metal is hammerformed 3003 H-14 aluminum. There's a few cast pewter parts too. Wood....I hate woodworking....but it's Brazilian Teak or something. I wanted a color to halfway match the color of the leather harness.

Fantastic job on every details and yes, the wooden base is looking good also... (y) (y):cool::notworthy::notworthy::notworthy::notworthy: My only critique is that the hoses should look less ``modern``. As you know, in the `30s, `40s, most of those were wrapped in some kind of fabric (same as the ones you can find on old gas masks)

well that may be true in real life...but they used the same stuff on the engines in the original prop.

I should've been more precise in my critique; those 2 big grey shinny hoses on each side of the prop. Not the ones used for the engines (those are fine). ;)

ohhhh those. Yes I guess those are a little modern. But hey, imaginary Howard Hughes was ahead of his time!
