I thought it about time I pulled my finger out and finished the CFO ROTJ armour I've had half finished for a while.

After Pete's (Stukatrooper) review thread and his awesome weathering of one of our suits I have had the encouragement to crack on and have a go myself.

I've gone for the screen used Forest of Endor look..... I'm not finished yet and still have some armour parts to complete, the little fiddly parts and the helmet which I am really looking forward to weathering....

I weathered the armour using sandpaper, wood stain, turps and newspaper... And a lot of elbow grease.

I hope to start a tutorial thread soon as I have had a lot of people asking how it's done.

The suit looks great and the weathering.

What a nice change it is to see some ROTJ trooper stuff at last.

I think most people are so used to the ANH stormtrooper that they are comparing the ANH with the ROTJ version and thinking the ROTJ looks wrong or something.
ROTJ is a completely different film with comleteley different stormtroopers and they should not be forgotten.

I used to hate this helmet and armor (ROTJ in general, not meaning the maker)... but it has REALLY grown on me. Guess after staring at every frame of the original movie for 30 years... you eventually wanna see something else! LOL!

I think you are really NAILING the look. Somewhere in between an ANH sandy and an ANH deathstar trooper.

Very subtle is the key!
