Er, I'm afraid that is a slightly raw subject at the moment. See comments in Studioscale TIE fighter thread to get the gist....
As far as I know that kit is not available to buy new anymore...at least not until such time as the original patternmaker may or may not decide to re-release it.

unfortunately Steve is not taking new orders at the moment so he can get his past orders caught up. I see them from time to time in the junkyard however....just keep your eyes peeled. I'm considering getting one myself. It's just too cool to ignore.

Too bad they are out of production, I would have paid $750-800 for one!
Thanks Jason. I'm suddenly a whole lot less interested, to be honest.
I'd have guessed more like $350-$450. I guess this is probably a greater weight of resin, and maybe size too, than I bargained on.
I've always liked it's nice SF3D vibe. Oh well.
I have my personal kit, still unbuilt, with Hyperdyne's light and sound kit... if you guys are really dying for one, I might be persuaded to let mine go, since I always need spending money for Wonderfestival in Japan.
But I really like the Probe Droid so I'm not about to let it go for $600, especially considering how effing hard it was to get out of Neisen's hands, too. And it's a really nice cast - one of the first 5 or so, as I pre-paid (underwriter, or whatever it was called at the time). No wonky head, no wonky body. PM me with a ridiculous offer :angel

I'd love to have one,but even without a ridiculous offer at its original price...I can't afford one right now:cry.Not with what I make through work.I'm lucky I am going to be purchasing the kits that I've been looking for for years at this time.I'll live with the 1/6 scale SMT Probe Droid.Maybe at some point in the future if I am extremely lucky I'll be able to purchase one?

I wouldn't call waiting over three years for payment to the guy who lent his master patterns to be produced as a kit "words exchanged and hard feelings".
And by the way, I'm still waiting for payment.

It's been almost a month since we last heard from Steve with his last promise of getting me what he owes me. I haven't seen him on the boards since then.
