She's finally finished. I shouldn't say finally, I could have done this kit by itself in 8 hours. This was a very fun kit. I've never had more fun putting something together, extremely clean and precise. Everything was a joy to assemble. There were absolutely no issues with it.

I will likely glass in a PVC pipe and use a lexan rod as the support. With a mirrored base similar to MR bases. I need to find someone who would do a custom plaque for it. Any suggestions???

I told you on MSN and I repeat it here, Dave. This is a thing of beauty. Very well executed.

Makes me want to get myself one of these and assemble it myself.

I just hope I can airbrush it half as well as you did.

Hermes.

Artisically you're a natural :thumbsup

Is that a gap or lip visible running around the lid section (4th pic down)?

There is a small lip there, the photo makes it look worse than it is. :)

Very nicely done. Much more fun than mucking about with cardboard paint containers .

Did you airbrush the entire model, or did you do a mix of airbrush and pastels ?

I airbrushed the entire thing with gray primer, then hand painted the insides of the engine nozzles. Airbrushed all the base colors (one being the gray primer itself where needed) and then the weathering. Then I hand brushed the rust and oil spots, paint chips and toned the whole thing down with more airbrushing. After the whole process, I realized I could have done the entire thing start to finish with the airbrush and a bit of masking and never picked up a brush.

Dave :)
