Squid Game Guard Reference Pictures

Hi!
I'm back after a very very very long time - I simply dropped out of the RPF, I don't know why, I suppose life has interfered with lots of things.
But I try to be back more often now.

I have seen a Squid Game Guard Mask built but haven't seen a reference picture thread. I saw the costumes on Ebay and Etsy, but they lack the details, that are missing. The Guard jumpsuits is more complicated than meets the eye and I will comment on some pics to point out some things.

Elastic loops for the laser chip scanners on the and right

As you can see, the zipper is hidden.

There you can see the crease, where inside the hood are elastics with stoppers sewn in.

The gloves are probably garden gloves with ribbing.

Below the mesh are still a fabric.

Sew line doesn't go all the way through

The balacava is custom with a mesh line

You can see the elastic band with the stopper inside the hood, there's also black lining inside the jumpsuit

The holes aren't round, but rectangular

The calves have a trapezoid velcro to tighten up the appearance of the guards and the leg ends above the achilles heels are also with velcro tighteners

See the right side elastic band next to the gun with stoppers inside the hood

As you can see the guard is a bit small for the jumpsuit, but with the velcro tighteners, it can accomodate to a lot of body types

Super helpful. I know this is an easy buy off of eBay or Amazon but I’m trying to scratch build one. Toughest thing has been trying to get the triangle on a non flat surface.

I 3D printed a guard mask from Thingiverse. Also found a YKK buckle 3D file.

I've been thinking on how to do a scratch-made mask. There are mesh screens sold in rolls in hobby stores and hardware stores alike--I'm sure the real things were 3D printed--but I think one could pull this off with these mesh screens if only there was a way to have them hold their shape. I thought one way would have them spray glued on a reverse side and then stuck on over vac-formed shells.

There's a file for one that folds on Cults that's a little more accurate than the ones on thingiverse that I ended up buying.
I have a //bag// of the YKK buckles now- had to to get the screen accurate ones. Debated printing it though. What'd you use for the mask straps?
I went with elastic velcro-type.

I haven't reached the strap stage yet but I will probably just cut some spare elastic or velcro to size and use fabric glue around the loops.
Maybe add a couple pieces of foam inside the mask

Thank you for good reference shots!
I made first jumpsuit but missed few things that I would fix soon.
I couldn't see any good image for leg opening, if anyone has good resolution image please share in this thread.

True.
I'll change the hood lining into black but, I'm not sure about the zipper.
Hopefully I'll redo this suit very soon with some fixes.

Yeah, but all are very inaccurate, there's one YouTuber, who had made it very very close, about 95% to the real deal. The YKK buckle can be found on ebay and couple of other sites

If only that file can be reworked, becaus it's already close to the overall shape, just the mesh holes are not that like the original ones

I feel like the masks were made from a flat grid, then heated and pressed into a form, which gave them their look with some holes stretched and some squashed.
