Split Second Props

Maybe they knew we would be tearing our hair out about this and are watching this thread giggling over beers :lol

I knew I shouldnt have (split) second guessed myself! Nailed it, Brass Eagle Sight! I can finally sleep!

WINNAR!!1 I KNEW I had seen it before. Looks like they removed the knob-dealio off the back though.

Guess I'll stop looking now. :lol

Well, it's not an airsoft because it fires blanks. I don't think it's an astra because the frame forward of the trigger is very rounded on the astra's and it's not on the baby cannon, as you can see here:

I still think it's an RG something or other. :)

GOOD CATCH on the site DG. Very good work!!

So now I've got to go looking for the RG ROLM revolvers up. Twist my arm while you're at it :lol

Hmmmm, thinking (Bad habit I know) what about the Arminus revolvers? I'll check them in the morning I'm heading to bed.

Ok, RG Revolvers

There aren't too many good photos of the left side of RG revolvers that have a cylinder release. Many RG revolvers had no actual cylinder release, you had to either pull the cylinder pin forward and remove it to remove the cylinder or pull the cylinder pin to allow the cylinder crane to open, OR they had a loading gate on the right side of the frame similar to single action revolvers.

Arminius revolvers:

The cylinder release on this one doesn't match at all

Most Arminius revolvers either use the right side loading gate or pull pin to reload. Also many of them have the Arminius shield just behind and to the top of the trigger, not all of them though. And if this is an Arminius they could have filled the shield in.

I also looked for Erma revolvers, Artigies, and about 6 other European manufacturers on the off chance it could be one of them. I also looked for Tear gas revolvers and "Home Defense" revolvers that shoot a ridiculous shot cartridge, and I just couldn't find any others which had the flat/flattish cylinder release and came anywhere close to the lines in the screen caps.

Any one else have any further suggestions? I'm out of ideas.

The weapon used in the movie is the Crosman 3357 Paintball version. There is the Crosman 357 pellet version which has a different cylinder and larger barrel than the pellet version. You can convert the 357 to 3357 by changing out the cylinder and barrel.
You can see the difference here

Okay, I guess I don't have the right one then.

This looks a lot like a Charter Arms Bulldog with smaller grips

And RH does have extremely large hands, the pistol almost disappears in his hand. Look at how his fingers curl under.

The grips look undersized here in relation to the frame.

I'm strongly thinking this is a Bulldog with undercover grips, and then the barrel attachment.

Take a look at a side by side. That's a bulldog on the bottom, the cylinder release is different to name only one thing. I wish it was a bulldog, I have 2 resin copies I've been looking to do something with (since I already have like 9 blade runner blasters)

Honestly, I'm wondering if the whoever built this gun didn't install a release from an RG 40 onto an RG 31. Or something along those lines.

Im starting to work on my 3357 tonight. I just wish it was warmer here so I could really tear into it in the garage.

Look forward to seeing what you setup for the 3357.

I was just looking at some older Rossi revolvers again today too.

They look pretty close. I actually need a base revolver for the baby cannon. All the airsoft replicas are too big.

What materials are you considering for the barrel and the box under it?

I've been looking at my 357 pellet model. I even ordered a second one to tinker with. I'm thinking about creating a drop in casting for 357 owners.

If I knew how to cast and mess with resin I definitely would!
