Spiderman web shooter: A collaborative project.

Re: Spiderman web shooter: A collaborative project. Now with wiring diagrams!

The Pirate is back! :lol
Try ordering it again, it just happens the operator who handled these orders didn't like something in the model. If not go with Ultra Frosted Detail, you're cleanup time will be drastically reduced! :love

Re: Spiderman web shooter: A collaborative project. Now with wiring diagrams!

I took care of it this afternoon, they were really helpful, i explained its been ordered before multiple times, he looked, agreed, talked to the printer, and said, no problem, order it again, I did, they covered the shipping too

hopefully they all ship together

Re: Spiderman web shooter: A collaborative project. Now with wiring diagrams!

When uploading the shooters to Shapeways do you have to give the measurements of all the pieces? If so what are they, regardless if necessary I still need them

Re: Spiderman web shooter: A collaborative project. Now with wiring diagrams!

No, you just need to specify the units of measurements it was modeled in; which is inches. :thumbsup

Re: Spiderman web shooter: A collaborative project. Now with wiring diagrams!

I think it works for me all i have to do is put in my credit card information and i'm ready to go.

Just for those interested;
The Shapeways printing process is a very hands on and subjective approach.
When it's first uploaded, there are automated checks that are performed within the system to make sure it is printable. This usually involves checking for bad/broken edges, ensuring it's "watertight", etc... The software will do it's best to repair anything and after this it becomes available for printing.

When you go to order something, the model is then dropped off in a queue waiting for it to be analyzed by an operator. Factors like wall thickness and detail thickness are tested and, depending on the operator, sometimes leads to the rejection of the model. It's at this point that it all boils down to the operator and the experience he/she has with the printing process.

Re: Spiderman web shooter: A collaborative project. Now with wiring diagrams!

If there are specifications or modifications that can't be show through the 3D model can you tell them the changes or modifications that needed to be made?

Re: Spiderman web shooter: A collaborative project. Now with wiring diagrams!

any changes or mod's need to be done by the end user. Shapeways would rather not modify the model due to the time, cost, and liability reasons. They will certainly help and discuss the model with you though.

Re: Spiderman web shooter: A collaborative project. Now with wiring diagrams!
