Spiderman costume pattern

Does anyone know where I might be able to get the pattern for the costume from the movie? I know ebay sells it, but I can't see paying $40+ for a pattern.

$40 isn't ridiculous for a pattern. Especially if it's specialty. Getting someone to pattern something specifically for you can run around $80.00.

Kwik sew makes good sports/dancewear/stretch patterns. Try them. You won't get a specific spidey pattern, but you might find something you can alter.

For a specialized pattern like that, it's not unreasonable.
Plain clothing patterns can run $20.00 + depending upon the maker but for a custom pattern considering the amount of work that has to go into it, it's not unfair.

If you want just a basic body stocking your local fabric store like Joann fabric may have a pattern that you can modify in their costume section and they sometimes have great sales for patterns.

Also, the eBay patterns are usually scans of the production-used Spider-Man 2 thermal transfer sheets. They have the brick pattern (which expands and contracts to create the illusion of superhero physique) and muscle shading, just like the movie suit. Also, if you're going to glue down a set of webbing, that pattern has them marked out as well.

A NECRO, or NECROPOST is where you post on a thread that hasn't been posted on for quite some time... Generally the people associated with these threads have already found what they were looking for, or are long gone.

They call it necroing because you are raising the thread from the dead like a necromancer.
