I've been playing catch-up with The Amazing Spider-Man and just got to the stealth suit:

After fangasmimg over the awesomeness and realizing that even if I could make that suit I wouldn't look good in it, I got an idea to make a jacket based on it. The problem is I have no idea where to start. Well, I have some idea. EL tape, leather, a lot of sketching. But even then I have only the most basic ideas.
The one thing I have no idea about is where to put the zipper. It has more on the back, so that's out. Would it work if I put it on the side under an arm? I know it might be a little tricky to get in and out of, but it wouldn't interrupt any wiring or design.
Any thoughts about it are very welcome! Even if only to comment on how cool that suit is, because it is so awesome!!!
