Spider-Man Fabric on Demand Printing Help!

I recently purchased a pattern from orhadar and it looks beautiful!
I resized it and uploaded it to Fabric on Demand. Now what?
I know I have to print it on 4-way stretched lycra. I copied the exact file name that they emailed me and I set it to Centered. Now do I keep the quantity at 1? The price is still only $37.50 when I do that, and I assumed it would double after uploading the file. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

I should add, this is my first suit. I can't wait to share my progress with you guys!

THe best thing to do would be to contact FOD and get them to help you. You'll need between 3-4 yards of lycra, so it should run you over $100 .

The quantity you enter is the number of continuous yards you need to print your file on.

So if the scaled image is above 36 inches tall, input 2, if your image is over 72 inches, input 3. And if you're taller than that, you're probably a giant. :lol

I'm only 5'2". Super short, I know!
And using the ruler tool, it looks like the file is a solid 70 inches. So I'd put 2 yards. Hopefully this all works out well.

I'm only 5"4 so would I only need two yards?

It depends on the overall length of your image. Different patterns are laid out differently, so I can't say definitively yes or no.

If you don't have photoshop, all you need to figure out the length is the PPI (Pixels per inch...the creator should be able to provide this number for you) as well as the height of the file in pixels. Divide the height of the file by the number of pixels per inch and you have the total height of your file.

Right clicking and selecting "Properties" (on Windows) or "Get Info" (on Mac) will bring up the pixel size of the image very quickly.

I've dealt with FOD for some test prints and I've found them to be fairly responsive. So if you let them know you need some hand holding, they should be able to help you out.

Good luck to all future Spideys!

EDIT: I will say this...if you guys are 5'4" and 5'2" I'm not sure those patterns will fit you without some SERIOUS Photoshop overhaul. 5'6-6'7" is about the smallest I would ever make a pattern now. I've attempted smaller patterns (One for someone 5'4") and while the legs, arms, and body fit perfectly...but the fingers, feet, and face were all too tight for a human being to wear. Double check with your pattern maker to see if they've had anyone of your height successfully complete a suit. I'd hate to see you go all the way through the process of printing and sewing and not be able to put the costume on at the end of the day.

I kind of jumped the gun and sent it to be printed. I set the pattern to 100% in photoshop and put my hand up to the screen and it seemed to look fine. I've always had a problem with gloves that are too big due to my small hands.
(Freaking out a bit, but hopefully it's all okay!)

100% in Photoshop doesn't mean real life scale. Just warning you!

I know, but I rescaled the suit made for someone that's 5'9-6'2, by around 6.5 inches. So it should be alright.

(This thread has turned into watch Dylon crash and burn.)

Once again, there's still a chance everything will go perfectly and we'll never have any problems ever again. The suits will be free, and we will be too.

Sorry dude but check the date on this thread over 6 months old, I think Dylon's question has been answered already.
