Sideshow presents a 1:4 Speeder Bike on C4. Could this be Studio Scale ? Just from comparing the photos it seems realy close if not exact.

And here a real one (only with Leia, but the bikes are equal):

No,Sorry I dont have the measurments but I know this was a extra that was made from the original molds of the filming ones.Alexander

I'm not positive that it's studio scale, but from talking to the Sideshow representative - I think that is what they are going for.

Either way - it's huge and it looks awesome. Can't say enough about it, from the speeder, weathering, to the Trooper. I really like it.

I went to the Sideshow panel Q&A on Saturday and they talked about the new 1/4 scale speeder and said that they took the blueprints from the full size speeder and used those to scale it down. They also went through the archives and used the real full sized speeder bike to get the greeblies correct. This is not supposed to be studio scale, just 1/4 scale. And it's going to retail for $800.

I also talked to a Sideshow engineer about the Speeder Bike. I told him, with all due respect, that the speeder looked a little shorter than it should. He explained that the dimensions of the bike varied from the full-size speeders to the 1/4 scale models used in filming. He also said there were differences in greeblies applied to front end of the bike. Their version is based on the full-size speeder bike. So there you go.

That's disappointing

I would have preffered they used the model prop as refference.

Honestly, the speeder at the Sideshow booth was way cooler than any of the screen used props at CIV..........LOL. Of course that may not be saying much to some folks.....LOL. It looked pretty awesome in person!

I have not had the opportunity to see the studio prop, but I found myself walking over to the sideshow booth over and over again at C4. This is really an incredible piece of work.
