For now yes, it comes as a raw but trimmed fiberglass cast, which will be much easier to finish than the 3d prints, and is a higher quality material and kit overall. I am aiming to have at least a helmet finished by the end of the month, so I will update here as I start modeling next week.So the kit is $300 instead of $180?
The release would still be 3d printed or cast urethane, but I am mainly referring to the hinge mechanism in the back. I will have more specifics in the coming days as I start work on the model. Will the hardware and the release mechanism still be 3D printed?
What if I bought your 3d files now, how do I make or get a clear faceplate?
I would love to have it done around mid August, but not really sure yet, and thank you!Aw that's a bummer. Not in the tax bracket to drop cash on one of your finished kits.
Think this kit will be doable before September? Planned on a SpaceX costume for Halloween.
Looks baby smooth though, great work.
Looks promising so far . Looking forward to more progress picsI would love to have it done around mid August, but not really sure yet, and thank you!
Here are the first pulls from the molds, these are gelcoat and fiberglass, so will not be needing paint, will clean up and polish View attachment 1324918View attachment 1324919
Did you check his etsy? The finished ones are sold thereWow very clean! Are all of these helmets called/paid for?
I'm desperate enough where if you can't get the kits out, I may be down to pay for a finished one.
