Limited Run Space X V2 Helmet

Hey all, so I’ve been holding off on replying here until I was a bit more clear about what my plans are as now I am unintentionally doing a finished space x helmet run. I will be modeling the V2 files as a set that includes a version that is only 3d printed hinge , and one that has hardware, mainly since I have decided that I will be making molds and casting the helmets out of fiberglass for sake of production time.
And for the question that’s been asked a bit, the difference between the v1 and v2 is that I did the v1 over a year and a half ago with not a whole lot of reference, but the v2 specifically will be a much more accurate shape, inner helmet area, rubber gasket, corrected ear details. They are close, but I can get closer.

The kits will be offered on Etsy in raw fiberglass probably around the beginning of July once I finish up current completed helmet orders and will be priced closer to the $300, including all hardware needed and visor. Clean up should be minimal. If you want an idea on the quality you can expect please take a look at my ig @ksaprops, and I have attached pics of my latest custom fiberglass helmet for a client. This is wetsanded after it’s first coat of primer.

So the kit is $300 instead of $180?
For now yes, it comes as a raw but trimmed fiberglass cast, which will be much easier to finish than the 3d prints, and is a higher quality material and kit overall. I am aiming to have at least a helmet finished by the end of the month, so I will update here as I start modeling next week.

Will the hardware and the release mechanism still be 3D printed?
The release would still be 3d printed or cast urethane, but I am mainly referring to the hinge mechanism in the back. I will have more specifics in the coming days as I start work on the model.
What if I bought your 3d files now, how do I make or get a clear faceplate?

You would need to either make a mold of the buck file and cast in plaster, or print with very thick walls and high infill in abs, punished props on YouTube has videos on these type of things as well as tinting.

Put me down for a kit. I'll need the clear visor from the kit vs personally 3d printing, don't trust myself with that endeavor.
Hope it fits my head.

Damnyou etsy... got a order for your helmet over there and the payment is still pending...

Edit: took more than 10 days to process... (they should fix their infomail on the timeframe...)

So for the foreseeable further I will not be offering the kits(at least not this month) , but I have 2 slots left for this first batch of completed V2 helmets on Etsy if anyone is interested. Here are pics of the masters.

Aw that's a bummer. Not in the tax bracket to drop cash on one of your finished kits.
Think this kit will be doable before September? Planned on a SpaceX costume for Halloween.
Looks baby smooth though, great work.
I would love to have it done around mid August, but not really sure yet, and thank you!
Here are the first pulls from the molds, these are gelcoat and fiberglass.

Wow very clean! Are all of these helmets called/paid for?

I'm desperate enough where if you can't get the kits out, I may be down to pay for a finished one.
