Space X Dragon Helmet 3D Model and Build (V2 Finished Bust on p.3)

Recently made a trade for the helmet parts to be printed on a large printer in one piece, so helmet part 2 soon, maybe it’ll be a full chrome helmet??

Since I’m home because of Black Plague 2 electric boogaloo I’ve decided to pick this project back up. Currently working on getting the seam lines smooth on the bottom using Bondo and filler primer. Gotta get it smooth!

Kit is very well designed. Only issue I had was the visor buck was the exact size of the hole, so there was no mounting lip. I had to add 1/4" to the buck with Apoxisculpt to make it work.

To make the helmet wearable, I ended up making magnetic cheek pad mounts so it stays in place on my head, and mounts for 2 squirrel fans so the visor dosen't fog up.

Very cool design! I got the helmet printed but I have no idea how to progress with the face shield. Is there any way to do this without a vacuum forming machine? How thick of plastic do you use and how did you get it tinted? If anyone can send me the plastic visor, I'll pay you for it

I will be offering them once I finish up this current batch of helmets, I am quite backed up currently.
I’ve done up to .125, but best results with .08 and I tint with black idye poly.
I would be ok with someone offering a limited run for now until I catch up to things. (This is not permission, contact me if interested.)
