Thought I’d make a launch pad platform for the 22” size Eagle replica kits out there... Handy for shoots then l will put the main A1 section in a A1 frame for a wall.

I Made it from A1 Daler Orange boards from art shops. Did loads of reference studies (which is quite limited) to come up with a fairly accurate cross platform. The originals were often changed/retouched in their various sizes, Fun to do, I just added photoshop for the lights as reference,

Just did some draft-board working out and then designed the markings in lndesign/printed the cut-out stickers out & stencil shaded areas.

Above: It’s just the Orange cross platform for now, I really don’t have the space for a full dock launch pad for now.
Sketching and drawing out below.

Looks great! Don't forget to include an abandoned moon buggy near the orange cross. (Don't know why, but it seemed the hip thing to do driving your buggy out to a launch pad and then walking back to Alpha.)

Carter: "Didn't you leave with a moon buggy?"

Unnamed actor-of-the-week: "Uh, not sure dude, wow, um, maybe...but did you see my groovy moonwalk on the way back?"

Very nice. I just started printing an 24 inch eagle for a disabled friend of mine. That pad would look great, but take up WAY too much room ;)

thomas;)
