Sonjou 4NEODESIGNS Dye Sub Patterns

Re: Sonjou Dye Sub Patterns

I am waiting on a print to see if my pattern works. Once I figure that out. I will be able to say what I will be doing with them. If my Pattern doesn't work then these will be used as visuals to what I can do in photoshop, and work on commissions to create the files on a Rami Pattern.

Re: Sonjou Dye Sub Patterns

I would definitely love to see your take on Deadpool. I'm relatively new to RPF and looking to get my hands on a Deadpool print.

Re: Sonjou Dye Sub Patterns

Hey question for ya.

Where did you get the file to start creating a pattern (I'm talking photoshop file here)? Or did you make your own? And is there any way I can snag that file. Or even get the Amazing Spiderman pattern. It seems that there are only two people selling the prints but they are just so busy it'll be impossible to get them.

So the photoshop file will be what I'll have to resort to. Seems like it's a secret around here though...

No secret, we create them ourselves. It's not like you can go to the "dye sublimation pattern store" and pick up THE file. It's a roll your own solution type of environment. There are rarely any ready made solutions in the world of prop and costume replication.

TaylorMcManus sells a "blank" pattern for you to create a design on top of, and I know Sonjou has sold patterns before. So they're both good people to talk to.

Re: Sonjou Dye Sub Patterns

No no I get that the file is electronic. And I'm experienced in photoshop as well. I just don't have the time for trial and error as I have a deadline to meet.

When it comes to printing on lycra, are there companies that do it for you? Can you just go to your average silk screening store and do it? Or does everyone on here kinda do their own at home?

Re: Sonjou Dye Sub Patterns

there are different ways to get a file, you can get base file from me or taylor, see either junkyard post about it. or send either a PM.
as for printing you can find a company that prints it. it could be a local company but you need to make sure they have a wide format dye sublimation printer. My current files are 58" wide x 90" something tall give or take off the top of my head.

a lot of people use fabricondemand.com as the link a couple of posts back. but go to google type dye sublimation and shop around, put your zip code after that in google to try and find places near you.

Re: Sonjou Dye Sub Patterns

I know it's been said, but more female muscle patterns would be awesome! I'm currently in the market for one!
