By a bit smaller though thats all it is..a bit, from what I know of the prop its mainly the head that has a slight difference in scale, the over all thickness and length look about the same. Considering the Season 2+ SS is based off the CO prototype which is based off the Eccleston...

I never really saw the handle of Tennants being gray though, looks about teh same colour as Ecclestons....

The more I look at the prop the more I think a solid plexi rod with a hole drilled through for the wiring is the best way to give the extending portion strength. If you leave room for air you leave room for breakage.

I agree. From all the pictures that I have reviewed, it looks like a solid rod that has been drilled for the wires to run up through.

The only tough part I can figure is polishing the drilled portion so the wires are clearly visible and appear to be suspended in mid-air.

Clear fingernail polish, dapped onto a string and run through the hole. Will coat, won't melt and will give a a polished "enough" look. Once you run the wires through, you're done messing with it, won't be any friction, etc....
