MILLENNIUM FX REPLICAS (WWW.MFXREPLICAS.COM) have just acquired the license to produce prop replicas of the;

Sonic screwdiriver
The Masters' laser screwdriver
Judoon scanner
Toclafane orb

As usual with MFX replicas we will do everything possible to make them as accurate as possible to the originals. Given our association with the show we can use our privelaged position to access the original props to make sure we get every possible detail totally acurate.

Please don't ask prices yet as we haven't even begun making prototypes yet which help lock down prices. I literally got the e-mail today saying we have approval on the license so there's a long way to go and a lot of work to do.

In addition we are expanding our range of character heads to include The Gold robofrom robots form the Xmas special, the Sycorax and the Autons. Check out www.mfxreplicas.com for details.

This is going to be an exciting year ahead for us and over the next 12 motnhs we hope to expand out replicas range to offer something for every collector.

Lots of work to do yet before we can give details. There'll be lots of posts askin for details but we've literally got the the OK today so the details will be clarified over the coming months. Just couldn't wait to tell you all as I know it's a replica prop that a lot of people are excited about getting their hands on.

Please don't get frustrated if we can't answer questions about details at this time as this is still early days as we can't commit to anything as it will take a few months of prototyping and approval processes before we can give you definitive answers regarding product details.

I know that's frustrating but I thought it would be better for eveyone to know that these replicas are coming rather than sit on this info for several months.

Regarding the Toclafane orb are you currently thinking on the lines of including the head inside the orb or just offering the shell?

Hey RKW.

Now, only Lucasfilm have a 'gold droid'. One of the quirks of licensing. We do have a Gold roboform mask hitting the website some time in the next couple of days you'll be happy to hear.

The head inside the orb won't be possible (a gozzillion bits) but the orb itself is what we're aimning for.

I know you have said that you cannot give solid details due to the timing, but since the Sonic Screwdriver, Laser Screwdriver and the Judoon Scanner all have functionality (mostly an LED and sound), can you at least assure or respond to whether or not you would LIKE to design the props with sound and light and all that fun stuff? Is the intention at least there to have that as a viable option?

I realize into the design phase somethings may not be possible, even CO's Screwdriver had to be changed to accomodate those, and I would not take what you say as a gospel either way, just wondering and hoping if that is at least the initial intention.

Either way this is great news and I cannot wait to see some progress and news! The rest of your line is simply fantastic and I know your stuff will look amazing if your track record is any sign!
