This e bay user y-winger1 is currently recasting my 6 inch death star tiles. Here is a link to the auction:

Here is a link to the page where I detailed the making of my pieces:

I contacted him through ebay asking if he was the maker and if he could accomodate a large order and this was his response.

Hello. I am the maker of these. I can make at least 45 pieces (the 5 sets offered in this auction) within a 30 day period. That's if they're unpainted. The fewer the peices, the faster I can go. If you want them painted, I would require, at the most, up to another weeks time. Depending on how many pieces or (sets of 9) you would want will determine how long it would take. The average number of pieces I can produce in 1 day is 6. When I make the castings, they need at least 8 hours to cure (dry) before any painting can be done. I try to get to at least 6 a day if I can. Sometimes my work doesn't permit it. That's why I require at least 30 days to get them done, and shipped to the customer. If you have an order for more than 45 pieces, you have a rough idea on how long it will take. Anymore than 45 will require more time. I must tell you though, there is 1 mould that is unavailable at this time. It is the piece that looks like a round circle (in auction photo). The mould has deteriorated over time and has to be remade. I am currently in the process of getting that new mould remade but it will take at least another week and a half to get the new materials to make it. If your interested in more than the 5 sets in the auction, let me know. I can sell these without an auction and just add the extra numbers of pieces to the auction invoice. Think about it and let me know if you are interested. Thanks for inquiring.[/b]

Listing is now unavailable...

Wonder if he realised he was found out to be a recasting scum, or Ebay removed it for him...

Totally sucks that a mans hard work gets recasted by a lowlife....

or even recast.. ;) :D

One thing I don't get about this forum is the recasting.

You made the peice dont you have an idea of who you sold it too that might be recasting?

He could have been a member here and once he saw the alarm go up, removed his own auction to avoid the angry mob.

Where's my pitchfork?

It's not really that simple this person may not have even bought the tiles direct they may have bought them from someone that swapped them with someone else that in turn bought them from the person that bought them to begin with.
People buy sell and trade props all the time theres no way you can control what happens with them once they leave your hands.

I am curious as to how you knew they were recasting your tiles? Was there some marking that made them unique to you?

Two more ended auctions by same guy

I think the pictures speak for themselves
He seems to have one extra piece not in Jades Dark Heart sample shot
but 8 of the 9 he offers show clear similaritites to the ones from JDH's site.

Notice how he calls this dutch auction with 5 items for sale a
"PRE ORDER". What the heck? Does he have the stuff or not?

He offers a lot of autographed vintage cards.
At this point I'd be highly suspect of the legitimacy
of his autographed merchandise as well.

This y-winger claims to live in Dravosburg, Pennsylvania.
Anyone local want to stop by his place with a nail bat?

They are definately mine and a fellow model builder pointed the auction out to me. Apparently when I posted this over at the StarShip Modeler site, one of the members took it upon themselves to report this person to ebay.

He did not pull the auctions himself, they were pulled by The Bay. I have not heard from him since I asked him why he was recasting my work. This is the second time someone has done this, but at least the last guy didnt claim it was his work. :(

I am no longer selling these because they are horribly inaccurate.

I am however mastering new ones I call them v2.0 that are much more accurate. The masters are currently at the laser cutter being cut and I should have the parts this week.

Here are some images of the new ones.

Here I go hijacking again, but I am not real concerned with accuracy, I am just looking for something cheap to display my Power FX on when I finish it...
