Been given the ok to post this by Christie's.

This is what is up Star Wars wise :

C3PO hand
C3PO prototype feet
ESB light-saber
Stormtrooper Blaster gun,
Pomotional Stormtrooper Helmet
John Mollo sketch
Collection of Dyelines

And

A non-screen used Darth Vader dome (no face mask). This is not in posession of Christie's yet so it's unlikley to be entered in the sale.

Let the speculation begin. They should be photographed middle of next week.

The Blaster is the one I found.

I know of the vader dome mentioned in this and all I can say is that I feel very strongly that it is not an original made for the production.

Okay Gino, I'll bite, why don't you think so? And I don't want to hear another one of those "I know something you don't" you use so often, come on, for once let's hear something tangible!!

I believe it to be an authentic pull (one of many that are out there) but I wouldn't feel comfortable stating with any certainty that is was made back in 1978.

A quote from the PD...It's just an opinion as is mine..there are no facts to back this up either way..but we do know from the look of the dome, as well as the 30 odd year old paint that I'm 100% certain it was not pulled recently..

I'm curious to know why only the dome is being offered up for sale?

My guess is because the original ESB paint was stripped to reveal ANH markings..restored by JRX..In which the two together become almost a hybrid in a sense...Vadermainia will have to confirm himself for that reason though.

GINO...do you really consider yourself an expert...:rolleyes

Again - are you still mad that I didn't sell you the two copies of EXACTLY this dome that you wanted so desperately?

That says it all for me, bud.

The dome is not for sale. I had it valued by Christies suppliying them pictures and the original description from the previous owner.

forgot to add some pics...

...feel free to compare this dome in detail to the Paul Allen stunt, the ScreenUsed damaged ESB dome or any other original dome.

I have to say that is the only thing that makes sense to me at this point..Gino IMO you are actually losing some credibility by jumping on the TM at every opportunity..and you must know yourself this is the holy grail of Vader helmets..just as the DJ could also be considered..although the neck on the TM resembles the screen used :thumbsup. Dont get me wrong the DJ is another holy grail, and the ANH dome on the DJ is amazing..Sorry for the OT..

Thanks for clarifying Tom.

Thanks for the new pictures...

Oh and I have compared everything..It is 100% the real deal :thumbsup

Not at all. Actually, I would have been mad at myself had I gotten them. Hindsight is 20/20 though

:lol It's taken you since Sat Oct 06, 2007 7:32 pm to come up with a response since TM silenced you on that matter :unsure Nice comback :rolleyes

GINO, one thing for sure: you definitely know how to make me smile :lol

See ya on the Den...can't really waste my precious time to react to your expert comments on every forum...

Gino, do you believe the dome is original and not made for production or do you believe it is not original at all? What's your basis for either?
