I like sci fi movies but have not seen them all. Do you have any suggestions, I have seen all the star wars, star trek, blade runner and love them. I just found the TV series Firefly and that was the best! Anything that is good is welcome.

I'm gonna' assume if you got the Firefly TV series
you ALSO got the MOVIE ! :thumbsup

I agree with most of the above so I'll only add these that haven't been mentioned.

Old school

The Last Man on Earth.
Panic in the Year Zero.
The Day the Earth Stood Still (original)

Newer

The Terminator, Terminator 2
Predator, Predator 2, Predators
Dune (original)
Stargate

Good Parody

Galaxy Quest
Spaceballs

Animated (if you're into that)

Both of these were pretty much animated Firefly back in the late 90's and damn good.

Cowboy Bebop
Outlaw Star

GITS- hard cyberpunk, like a slightly less dystopian Bladerunner

Metropolis (not the classic awesome film but pretty dang good in its own right)

A boy and his dog
killer klown from outer space
the last starfighter
the blob (original and the one from the 80s)

i just ordered the three of these a couple days ago on half.com
The Last Man on Earth.
Panic in the Year Zero.
A boy and his dog

panic in year zero was awesome. its plays like a "to do" list in case of a nuclear attack, and i think really well done. and i just watched a boy and his dog again the other day. its a must on any post apocalyptic movie list.

panic in year zero is a double pack with the last man on earth, im so excited, i hated i am legend, but loved omega man, i cant wait until i see that one.

some more id like to add

Agreed. Catch up on the fantastic sci fi film history first.
I think it's important to do.
That is a good list above.

A couple more...

Fantastic Voyage
Dark Star

And it's not a movie, but the TV series Twilight Zone is well worth the time. Excellent series one of the best things ever on TV.

Thanks so much, I've been looking at metropolis, does it still hold up after 80 years?

My def of sci fi is robots or spaceships.
