So, what are you wearing to San Diego Comic-Con?

Hey gang, just wondering what everyone is working on for San Diego Comic-Con? What are you wearing each day, we might be able to spot fellow board members that way!

Here's my list for this year:
Thursday- Ghostbuster
Friday- Rocketeer
Sat- Steampunk Vampire Hunter
Sunday- Harry Potter with group of friends, (though this might be a different day, but I know Sat. is Steampunk)

- Jeff

Thursday: Tenth Doctor
Sunday: Probably the same, but might do 4th Doctor if I've got the parts together.

Thursday- Jack Sparrow
Friday-Travis Touchdown
Saturday- Mad Hatter
Sunday- Mad Hatter (with the blue coat and Kilt)

Friday - Eleventh Doctor
Saturday - Mal Reynolds
Sunday - Tenth Doctor (if I get it finished in time!)

By the way, I don't want to derail the thread, so if anybody can answer my question PM would probably be best, but if I'm driving in from out of town and not staying at a hotel, where can I park my car? Preferably somewhat close to the convention center, but not costing a fortune?

I'm actually lost on this subject at the moment... I haven't worked on anything new in a long time, and I'm way busy at the moment, so probably won't get anything new done :-/

So I might just be lame and go plain clothes all the time... maybe break out a SW costume for the RL picture

My plans a bit in flux but for the moment it's looking like:

Thu: Dr. McCoy (with Star Trek TOS away team group)
Thu Night: 11th Doctor or 2nd Doctor for the Who cosplay meet prior to the BBC America screening.
Fri: Shazam/Captain Marvel (Tom Tyler version)
Sat: Shazam/Captain Marvel (Tom Tyler version)
Sun: The 4th Doctor

I could only get a ticket for Sunday (started paying attention too late!)

But I plan to wear a TOS Battlestar Galactica warrior outfit. (See If I can stand wearing the boots all day!)

Thursday: Blackhole Stormtrooper
Friday: Empire Strikes Back Stormtrooper
Saturday: Nerd Herd-Lester Patel from TV show Chuck

If I can put together a presentable costume in time, I'll be dressed as Jack Sparrow. It may be next year before I'm ready, however. :)

im not going this year, but ive now found that I have far too many costumes to choose just 4... last year I think i wore 6.

But i have found that over the years i spend less time in costume that i used to many years ago. i used to pride myself being in costume for more than 12 hours. my personal record is only 31 and change. some German fellow has over 80... (smelly?)

anyway, do you all find that the older or rather the more cons you go to the less time you spend in costume and find yourself wanting to gear down to check out the convention un-accosted?

Thursday- Rorschach
Friday-Spiderman Noir shattered dimensions game
Saturday -Skullman
Sunday- Spiderman Noir comic version
This will be my first out of state con. I live in Alaska so traveling is a pain and expensive.

Trek920 - I've actually found the opposite. My early con going exeriences revolved around the dealer's room and what new/cool stuff I could look at and buy. No cosplay at all. Then after I realized I didn't need THAT much stuff, I backed off the merchandise somewhat and started attending mainly for the panels and previews. About 8 years ago I dabbled into cosplay because it looked like it was a lot of fun, it was another way to engage the con experience and it sure fired up the child in me to play dress up. I went whole hog cosplay starting about 5 or 6 years ago and haven't looked back. Now I pretty much spend 80% of the time in costume. I keep one night or a day for non-costume sightseeing, but the rest I'm in costume to enjoy for the reactions from fans, meeting up with friends and such. It's made con going much more social for me than ever before. I sweep the dealer's floor but to cosplay since I get all my shopping done Wed night now. I pretty much skip all the panels unless something REALLY strikes my fancy. I don't like waiting in the SDCC crazy long lines these days. It makes it a much more manageable experience for me and I never really regret missing anything panel-wise. especially today when the relavent stuff always finds it's way up on youtube within a week anyway!

Unfortunately by the time I had enough money to go look at tickets.... they were all sold out completely. ;_; I wanted to wear my finished Rorschach costume but...

At least I know at least one of my guns will be there (with another Rorschach) to bring me along in spirit!

Next year, man... next year. ((waggles fist))

I don't have much. All Tony Stark all the time.

If anyone is looking for something to do and happens to own a black suit, contact me. We could use some security personnel

in no real particular plan,

Scarecrow from arkham asylum
a warhammer 40k commissar with a big chainsword,
and hopefully a mass effect crewman uniform.
