So many Joker choices!

Enough time has finally passed that we are seeing more and more sellers offering Joker costume pieces online (specifically Ebay). Some of these pieces are Ok, others are down-right crap.I am having a hard time finding an accurate vest. No one seems to get such a simple design quite right which is confusing to me. Most sellers who offer the vest neglect to pay attention to the shape of the lappels which are always wrong (so far). Also, no one seems to be offering the pinstripe pants that actually look like the movie versions. The coat is a whole different story. Some sellers have a good design, but the fabric is totally wrong and makes it look cheap. Others get it totally wrong altogether and still advertise it as the joker coat.Even RedBalls - who did a pretty good job - dissapointingly decided to make thier joker coats out of heavy denim rather than wool. We are finally starting to see more options for the hexagon shirt and the tie and I suspect more accurate and reasonably priced versions of these costume pieces will be popping up like wild fire in the upcoming weeks counting down to Halloween.I don't have the patience to grow my hair out so I will have to resort to a wig. The trick is to make it NOT look like a wig, so quality is paramount. I have seen only one Ebay seller offering a wig that looks great - made of real human hair and hand dyed with subtle shades of green - but other than that, joker wigs are slim pickings.Once some more time goes by and sellers have an opportunity to offer higher quality, more accurate costume pieces, I would like to post a list here in this thread on who sells what and which are the best.Any help would be appreciated by all. Thanks.

Well for now if you are looking for a screen accurate tie I offer one through zazzle.com

I am in the process of having the coat made, Im just trying to find the right material. The vest and shirt are all made from scratch as well. Its hard finding good pieces unless you have them custom made yourself.

What I like about the shirt is it looks like an actual off-the-shelf fabric. Many of them so far have looked way too sharp, imo.

I'll be posting more pics of my tie (straight from turnbull and asser) so that everyone can now get the colors right.

I posted a quickie in the "joker TDK props" thread.

Nickytea, where can I buy the joker tie you got from turnbull and asser? Do they have a website and how much did it cost? Also, Dj_Krylon, I am interested in one of your vests and perhaps your shirt as well. There are a lot of options right now for the shirt and more to come so I'm going to wait and see what happens. If you get some progress done on the coat and it looks as good as the rest of your stuff, count me in for one. The pants are a major issue for me right now and I am having trouble even finding white pinstripe fabric to dye purple.Let me know what you can offer me and for how much.

Holy Crap! Good job there! I love the makeup; best Ive seen yet! Cant wait to see the coat :)

I agree, the makeup makes the costume believable but MAN great digs!!! You pull off the Joker really well!

Hopefully you can offer your costume pieces for sale here on the board and also on Ebay. Aside from the pants, it seems the socks are another 'hard to come by' costume piece. Has anyone figured where the original socks came from? Up until yesterday, I didn't know the tie came from a store so I can start to assume that the socks may have been store-bought as well and not custom made for the film.

Here is my Turnball & Asser Joker tie. I noticed right away that it is very green in color - as apposed to what we are used to seeing on screen with a more gold color. I don't think T&A would sell the wrong tie, but the tie could be suffering from Star Trek shirt syndrome - where green shows up yellow on film. Not sure, but here are the pictures:

Thanks for the heads up on the tie. I just checked out the props thread and found the info I need and will be contacting them shortly.

I'm also currently on the hunt of pants, the coat the blazer worn underneath and the shoes. Bit disappointed to hear about the Redballs coat being denim, as that was the one I was primarily looking at.

Be seeing you,

Magnus Darcrider

Dj krylon - I've done more searching and your vest still seems to be the best. Are you willing to custom make me one or at the very least, offer me the pattern and fabric samples??

They actually had the same problem with the Joker in the '66 series, ironically enough. Ever notice how Romero's hair looked red very often?

Heath's hair fell victim to the same effect in certain scenes. I'm sure his tie did as well.
