Hi all. I have pulled the much avoided MPC Falcon out as a winter project. I promise to post some pics when I get going. But right now I am planning out what I can. However I am struggling with the cockpit cone and 'walkway tube'. I have the older HH cockpit cone; and I intend to strip out the tube, build and plate/detail up a new one. I know that a lot of of people have done this and its not a new trick. But whats the best way to go about doing it? It looks like at least two diameters and tapers. Surely its not just the rise of the dish that gives the illusion of tapering? I thought i had previously seen images of peoples versions but many of these appear to have vanished. Any pointers? Ta.
So I dug my MPC Falcon project out from the cupboard.
