Snowtrooper Replacement Repair-Midnight Molding Madness!

Story of my life; Car breaks down, fixed, hub cap flies off, fixed. Go to a troop and sometime between meeting a congressman and chatting with the Mayor with a muffin stuffed in my face, one of the red buttons on my chest armor decided to go solo! Going to mega con, so I need to have this done!

Needless to say, I could not find a suitable temporary replacement. Lucky me, having some white resin lying around. Got's me a block of .50 cent sculpty clay and some time to kill.

Eh, it's gonna bother me though too. I'm crazy about looking right and I was kinda ticked that this happened. Aside from already having the resin, this only cost me 50 cents, so I can't complain. I'll post pics soon, it's just about done!

So now it's done. Not perfect, but it'll be okay for the weekend...

Hate to say it but you could have done this wayy easier :lol. piece of mdf/wood, or styrene/abs... or a lego piece. BUT, i'm sure it was a good way to experience casting resins, which is always fun.

Yea, my original idea was to get some balsa wood and use that. I was walking around a hobby store all day trying to find something that could work. Just couldn't make my mind up. IDK, I can get weird like that :/

Typically I would agree but I don't want to remove them while their still holding strong since I'm going to be replacing the resin one sometime after megacon

So here's the funny thing. The one I made held up great all weekend. However, saturday rolls around, on my way out to change and hit up a few parties, I lose another one

At least this time, we narrowed it down to where it could have been, but didn't know this until sunday

Between Powdered Toast Man and Roxo the rock and roll clown, I lost my very bottom button
