Snowtrooper Helmet

I've had this kit for a number of months. This past weekend I got tired of scribing on another project, and selected it from my kit library to break up the monotony. A couple hours and a trip to TAP plastics later...

I got one of these about ten months ago and I cant friggin find the shroud material. Yours looks amazing. Where did you find it? I HAVE to get this to complete my Dan L. snowtrooper.

hey imaginager...couldn't help but notice a cool-looking saber display in a shadow box in the background there.
Any pics of that?

:D

Hey Paul. Thanks, but the credit goes to Dan L. How's your Scout coming? I'm completely stalled on my McQ Trooper.... :(

Josh, I got it from TAP Plastic. It's just a white 3'x5' polyethylene banner. One side is textured, so I just turned the smooth side out. It's not accurate, strictly speaking, but I think it looks close enough.

Thanks. :D I built that case a couple of years ago. It's essentially just a wood box with a picture frame installed with hinges and a magnetic close over the front. I cut the arms to display the sabers from sheet aluminum and epoxied them to the bottom then covered that with black foam. Stained it to match my other boxes and filled it up.

Looking nice nice nice. I'm working on a Dan L suit myself, it's just going to take a long time, and I'm starting from another direction:

Very slow :unsure

It started off so well then took a back seat.I recently chopped it up a bit since the new pics of the original with measurements are up on BS.N gallery.I was a bit too wide overall but my length was almost perfect. Will keep doing a bit to it now and then but I got other things on the table ;)

Too bad about your McQ,I am still looking forward to seeing it complete.
