Snipex Alligator

Continuing with this project by using UV resin to fill in what layer lines sanding left. I also glued in the resin printed name plate on the magazine and filled the gaps. This will eventually be printed in a tan colour with some of the hardware painted steel.

Here are some finished photos. I used Tamiya TS3 Dark Yellow overall and that seemed to be almost an exact match for the real weapon even though the photos portray it as more yellow than it really is. I chose Rustoleum Chalked Cocoa Bean for the grip, cheek rest and the buttstock pad, but I'm really not happy with that since it dried a lot glossier than I expected and the colour was much lighter and intense than depicted on the cap, but I'm not changing it now.

An old musket or rifle would look great, but since this one is made mostly out of PLA, there would soon be a pile of goo over the mantle.

I dunno lol, I had the Black Spindle on the wall for a while, and it was PLA  I channel my big guns for 3/16" steel rods, it has done great to combat PLA droop.
